midi_interface_blacklist

This is an old revision of the document!

To find midi devices known to work check the midi_interface_whitelist.

NI Kore 1 Unstable SysEx transfers (sporadic checksum errors) under MacOS, probably also under Windows.
noname MIDI USB Adapter Sold at ebay for US$7.99, also available at Maplin for £29.99 (what a difference…!) - incomplete SysEx transfers under MacOS!
Novation Remote SL Unstable SysEx transfers
Swisssonic MIDI-USB 1×1 Works unreliable for SysEx transfers under Windows (e.g. Buffer overrun messages during code upload)
Tascam US-122 Bytes get lost during SysEx transfer, even with the most recent windows driver version 3.3; model US-122L is OK!
Yamaha UX256 Bytes get lost during SysEx transfer under WinXP and 2000 (earlier versions not tested), even with most recent MIDI drivers (Yamaha universal drivers)

Devices marked with a :?: should be confirmed to be not working by a second user. If you can confirm that a device isn't suited for MB-usage, edit this page and remove the corresponding :?:.

:!: When adding to this list, try to keep it sorted alphabetically, please.
