| + | This is a special type of resistor. The resistance of all resistors changes slightly as they get hotter. Thermistors are usually made so that their resistance falls noticeably as the temperature around them rises. They can be used to detect temperatures very accurately when used with a simple comparator circuit. The resistance of a thermistor is specified at a certain temperature, for instance 47K at 25 degrees C. | ||
